Andrew Andrada, PhD, MSPH, is an epidemiologist dedicated to advancing health equity and making primary health care more person-centered. He specializes in health systems strengthening, implementation science, and global primary care. Dr. Andrada earned his PhD from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and his MSPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

His research examines the real-world implementation of health policies and care innovations, with a focus on malaria surveillance, monitoring, and evaluation; primary care delivery; and quality improvement. Using mixed-methods approaches, he generates actionable evidence to guide health policy and expand access to equitable, high-quality care, working in sustained partnership with local communities, academic institutions, and decision-makers.

At PGPHC, Dr. Andrada focuses on the Primary Health Care Impact Lab (PHIL) in Indonesia, which aims to strengthen local primary health care systems through community-anchored research, service delivery innovation, and leadership development. He supports PHIL's work in rigorous research, capacity building, and scientific dissemination to help transform Indonesia's primary health care system.
