
Todd Pollack, MD
Todd Pollack is the Director of Infectious Diseases and Global Health Security for the Program in Global Primary Health Care (PGPHC) at Harvard Medical School Office for Research Initiatives and Global Programs, where he leads the PGPHC's work in infectious diseases, climate-health, and pandemic preparedness. His work focuses on building resilient primary health care systems and expanding access to high-quality, equitable care for people living with HIV and viral hepatitis. He has more than 15 years of experience implementing research, quality improvement, and systems strengthening projects, including co-leading the Lancet Global Health Commission on People-Centered Care for Universal Health Coverage. Todd is also the Medical Director of the Partnership for Health Advancement in Vietnam (HAIVN), a joint program between Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Vietnam Ministry of Health. For more than decade, he was based in Vietnam supporting the country’s HIV response as well as leading health systems projects focused on medical education, antimicrobial resistance, and COVID-19. Todd is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and he practices infectious diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He mentors trainees in global health and teaches global health ethics in the HMS Master of Science in Bioethics program. Todd received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and completed his residency, chief residency, and fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
