Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Trang Pham is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Program in Global Primary Health Care at the Harvard Medical School Office for Research Initiatives and Global Programs, where she supports the Lancet Global Health Commission on People-Centered Care for Universal Health Coverage. She is an Epidemiologist by training with a background in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Trang is passionate about applying her clinical and public health knowledge to improving care quality, access to care, and public health research. She specializes in applying user-centered design, systems thinking, and mixed-methods approaches to understand and improve health systems and care delivery, with a focus on implementation science. Prior to her current role, she served as a Program Manager and Vice President at the Vietnam Viral Hepatitis Alliance, where she successfully led and managed large-scale community-based research studies. Her experience also includes significant contributions to research teams at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), where she pursues her master and doctoral degree in public health. Her works at UIC as a data analyst, lab/project manager include the Systems-based Approach for Enhancing Teamwork in Healthcare (SAFE-T) Lab and the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program Evaluation team. Through these roles, she has developed a strong foundation in research design, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and the coordination of multi-stakeholder projects, all of which she now applies to her work at HMS.
